BlackBerry Bold 9790, Curve 9380

Canadian smartphone maker RIM has announced two new BlackBerry smartphones, both sporting BlackBerry OS 7 - the Bold 9790 and Curve 9380.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 offers a standard BlackBerry form factor, with a physical QWERTY keyboard and a 2.44-inch screen with a 360 x 480 pixel resolution.

The Bold 9790 also sports a 5-megapixel camera on the back, a 1 GHz CPU and 8 GB of storage memory, further expandable via microSD cards.

The Bold 9790 combines a high-resolution and highly responsive touch display with a highly tactile keyboard and a precise optical trackpad.

With the BlackBerry 7 OS and powerful 1 GHz processor, the BlackBerry Bold 9790 delivers fast, smooth performance for browsing the web, running apps, and working with documents.

The lower-end BlackBerry Curve 9380 offers more of a deviation in design from previous Curve devices in that it scraps the physical keyboard for a 3.2-inch display with a 480 x 360 resolution.

The Curve 9380 comes with preinstalled social networking apps, including the BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, Twitter and Social Feeds apps.

The BlackBerry Curve 9380 also features a 5MP camera with flash and video recording.

Oddly, RIM hasn’t unveiled much about the Curve 9380, but rumours are that it will have 1GB of internal storage and a 800MHz processor.
