Someday, you'll wish you owned these cars

1. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Sticker price: $54,095
Of all the new cars that sell for under $100,000 today, these 10 are most likely to become highly collectible in the future, according to the expects at Hagerty Insurance, a collector car insurance company.
Most of the cars on this list are high-performance special editions. While relatively affordable, these cars are still rare and exciting.
Take the Camaro ZL1 for example. For some performance coupe buyers, only the most powerful version will do. For them, General Motors is providing the ZL1 with its 580-horsepower V-8.

2. Buick Regal GS

Sticker price: $32,535
Not too long ago, Buicks were strictly targeted at retirees. Not this one. The Regal GS provides surprising performance and is available with a six-speed manual transmission. It's been a while since Buick's offered cars with clutch pedals.

3. Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca

Sticker price: $48,100
While it's drivable on the street, the two-seat Laguna Seca is tuned for the track. Original Boss 302 Mustangs are highly collectible today and, Hagerty believes, the modern versions will follow suit.

4. Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Sticker price: $61,785
This 470-horsepower Jeep with track-tuned suspension may not get far off-road, but it'll easily beat most SUVs on the pavement.

5. Fiat 500 Abarth

Sticker price: $22,000
A 160-horsepower turbocharged engine is plenty powerful to turn the tiny Fiat 500 into a fun drive. A trip to the Abarth Driving Experience, a full of day of training from professional drivers, is included with each purchase.

6. Volkswagen Golf R

Sticker price: $36,000
This isn't your ordinary, everyday Volkswagen Golf. It isn't even your ordinary, everyday GTI. The all-wheel-drive Golf R has 256 horsepower, 56 more than the GTI. It's not terribly cheap, either, with a starting price about $10,000 more than the GTI. But hold onto it long enough and treat it nicely and it could pay off someday, according to Hagerty.

7. Porsche 911

Sticker price: $82,100
No special edition needed here. Porsche 911s always hold their value — and then some — over the long run, according to Hagerty.

8. Nissan GT-R Black Edition

Sticker price: $95,100
Until recently, this car was something Americans got to drive only in video games like Gran Turismo. The GT-R squeezes an amazing 530 horsepower out of a six-cylinder engine while the Black Edition adds special wheels and appearance changes.

9. Dodge Charger SRT8

Sticker price: $46,795
This is high-performance muscle for those who still need four doors. If you're not behind the wheel you can still track all the action from the car's 470-horsepower V-8 on a large computer touchscreen in the dash.

10. Audi TT RS

Sticker price: $65,850
This 360-horsepower all-wheel-drive model has the advantage of global appeal, says Hagerty, meaning it will have global demand decades from now.
